DJ Careem

Back in 1994 Careem started mixing Jungle for his own pleasure and in order to be upfront on what happened in the UK. Together with his friends Gary & Shimi he organised in 1995 a serie of illegal warehouse parties in the west of Berne. This parties made a contribution to build up the Drum and Bass scene.
Two years later he started listening UK Garage tapes from pirate radio stations (Chicago FM, Freak FM, Ice FM) which he brought over from London. In the same time he was on summer holidays in Ayia Napa, where Underground Garage has already been played in several clubs. After these experiences he started studying and hadn't much time for the music.
During his practice ship in winter 98/99 Gary and Careem had the idea to organise a UK Garage Birthday Bash. In May '99 it became true and Sweet & Sexy was born in a hot night. From then on he put all his energy into their "Baby" and helped to set up the name Sweet & Sexy in Switzerland.
In 2001 he saw his work done and decided to share behind the decks his passion for music with the people. Together with artists like MJ Cole, Karl ³Tuff Enuff² Brown, United Grooves Collective he played all around Switzerland, Munich and Vienna. Since 2004 he is running with some good friends a new studio recording home base called STUDIO 63. In the same year he started a new project called BOOBSH, where he plays more open minded electrical deep funky beats breaks & steps.
